Obet Asmuruf as the Head of KAPP (Papuan Entrepreneurs Customary Chamber) Kab. Maybrat said that he was following the progress of the ratification of the Special Autonomy Bill volume II by the Indonesian House of Representatives and the Central Government.
Obet emphasized that the people of Kab. Maybrat has so far received the Otsus granted by the Central Government. Obet stated that until now there are no planned activities related to rejection or demonstrations with the ratification of the Special Autonomy Law for Papua by the DPR RI and the Central Government.
"We, Papua is the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, the government by President Joko Widodo has sent down the Special Autonomy Jjilid II to accelerate the development of Papua based on the Perdasi and Perdasus," said Obet.
"I ask the regional governments of Papua and West Papua to be transparent with the source of the Special Autonomy funds, so that they can continue the development of Infrastructure, the Economy and Education in the Land of West Papua, especially in Kab. Maybrat," said Obet.
"With the ratification of the Special Autonomy Law Volume II for the next 20 years, institutionally and as the Chair of KAPP, I am supportive of the sustainability of Otsus Papua because in general Otsus has made a lot of progress for the welfare of the community according to the mandate of the law," concluded Obet.
