Head of Oransbari District, Kab. South Manokwari, Yakobus F. Ramar said that the national vaccination program carried out was to fortify the community from the transmission of the Covid-19 Virus and the prevention efforts made by the Government in overcoming the increasingly widespread spread of Covid in Indonesia.
He said that he fully supports the Covid-19 Vaccination program programmed by the central government which is given to the public free of charge in order to suppress the rate of spread of the Covid-19 virus which has increased recently.
The Central Government is currently trying to protect the public from the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak through the free vaccination program. The public is encouraged to support and participate in carrying out Vaccines because it is our obligation as citizens to assist the Government in breaking the chain of the spread of Covid-19.
He said the enthusiasm of the OAP community in South Manokwari Regency was very high.
However, there are also a small number of people who still refuse to be vaccinated, so an approach is needed to make OAP aware so that they want to take part in the Covid-19 vaccination.
The approach is from the aspect of Religion and Customs. The approach from this aspect is considered more effective because people tend to believe what has been said by the priests and tribal chiefs.
He also appealed to the people in the district. South Manokwari to reduce activities outside the home that are not too important in order to protect the health of oneself, family and others around them and do not forget to always comply with Prokes such as wearing masks, always washing hands after activities and not crowding.
