The Papuan government continues the role of the Sea Toll Road initiated by President Jokowi to facilitate the distribution of goods for the preparation of the XX Papua PON in Merauke and Mimika Regencies in October 2021.
Head of KSOP Class II Jayapura Taher Laitupa said that his party was continuing to coordinate the Implementation of Sea Freight (Sea Toll) Route T-19. He also revealed that the demands of the Papuan people continue to increase so that the performance of the Sea Highway continues to be maximized.
“Currently, the level of community need to use the sea toll is very high. Later, the sea toll road will play an important role in the distribution of accommodation for PON needs for both athletes and committees," he said.
Taher Laitupa is also optimistic that this optimization will help boost regional potential in producing superior commodities which will later be distributed through the sea highway.
"So that these business actors can continue to be motivated to increase their production results because they already have a regular market and distribution channels," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Domestic Trade, Disperindagkop and UKM Papua Province Herman Bless conveyed several components of accommodation through KM.
Lognus 2 on the T-19 route to support the needs of the athletes and the committee uses superior commodities, including during this 7th voyage.
"The processed products of this local industrial commodity, apart from sofas, spring beds, as well as beds and chairs, also produce handicrafts and decorations for the hotel industry and household appliances," he said.
