The Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan, invites all residents, especially in the East Manokwari district, to get free Covid-19 vaccinations at the Arowi Inpres Elementary School, Thursday (08/07/2021).
"Don't be afraid. To become healthy. The medics are ready. From childhood we are used to receiving vaccines, such as smallpox vaccine," said the Governor of West Papua accompanied by the Head of the West Papua Health Service, Otto Parorrongan.
The Governor of West Papua reminded that this vaccination is important to maintain our body's resistance to Covid-19.
"If we have the Covid-19 vaccine, run prokes, wear masks, wash our hands diligently, avoid crowds, we will be safe from Covid-19. If there is no vaccine, it is easy to catch it," said the Governor of West Papua.
The Governor of West Papua confirmed that he had twice been vaccinated against Covid-19 for the elderly group. Vaccinations have also been carried out by the Kajati of West Papua, the Kapolda of West Papua, and the Commander of the XVIII/Kasuari Regional Military Command.
Papua's monitoring, like previous vaccinations in the Fanindi Dalam area, shows that the public's interest is very high.
