Until now, there are still many Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) terrorist groups that are still actively carrying out terror in Papua.
Kabaintelkam Komjen Pol Paulus Waterpauw also revealed their identities.
Paulus noted that at least 9 Papuan KKB terrorist groups are still active.
However, there are also groups that have decided not to actively carry out security disturbances in Papua.
In an online discussion on Friday (28/5/2021), Paulus said, "The current separatist movement is still spreading its own movement by seeking independence through armed violence."
The nine terrorist groups that are still active are the Sabinus Walker, Undius Kogoya, and Lewis Kogoya groups who are usually active in the Intan Jaya area of Papua.
Furthermore, the Goliath Tabuni, Lekagak Telenggen, Peni Murib and Ando Waker groups who used to carry out terror around Puncak Papua.
The police said they would guard development in Papua from the threat of the KKB.
No group should be allowed to interfere with development in Papua.
Karo Penmas Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono told reporters, Wednesday (9/6/2021), said, "Development in Papua must continue because development itself will prosper the people in Papua."
Rusdi reminded the KKB that Papua is part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
The decision is final and cannot be contested by any party.
"We make sure again that NKRI is Papua. Papua is NKRI and that is final. All development activities in this country are carried out in Papua," he said.
Furthermore, Rusdi said that his party would take action against anyone who interferes with the government's efforts to develop Papua.
"Police and TNI as state instruments will of course carry out their duties and obligations optimally and will complete all their duties and obligations in Papua," he said.
