The Senaf Soll group is suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder of two TNI soldiers in the Dekai area, Yahukimo Regency, Papua on Tuesday (18/5).
The TNI member was attacked while guarding the construction of Zero Goliat Airport, Dekai. Based on police information, one of the victims was stabbed in the head until he died on the spot.
The perpetrators also stole the 5.56 mm SS2 V1 type firearm used by the victim.
Senaf Soll was fired by a member of the TNI in 2018 because he was involved in buying and selling firearms ammunition in Mimika Regency. He defected and joined the armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua.
Referring to the Directory of Decisions at the Military Court III-19 Jayapura, Senaf was tried in Absensia alias without the presence of the defendant. His verdict was read out on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
At that time, Senaf was recorded as a TNI AD soldier who served at Infantry Battalion 754 / ENK with the last rank of Prada.
He was later found guilty and dismissed from military service because he was found guilty of committing the crime of desertion in peacetime.
Senaf in this case conducted an unauthorized absence from service for more than 30 consecutive days.
He allegedly did this when he was about to be arrested on September 10, 2018 for being involved in selling ammunition to the public. He was not cooperative and instead fled to the forest.
In August 2020, Senaf was strongly suspected of being the mastermind behind the killing of the staff of the General Election Commission (KPU), Yahukimo Regency, Hendry Jovinski. At that time, the police issued a wanted list (DPO) status for the perpetrators on behalf of Ananias Yalak alias Senate Soll, who has yet to be caught.
According to the then Papua Police Chief, Inspector General - now Commissioner General - Paulus Waterpauw, there are allegations that the former TNI member killed the victim out of frustration with his dismissal.
"I have ordered the Criminal Investigation Directive, Dansat Brimob and Deputy Intelligence and Security Intelligence at the Papua Police to carry out backups for handling cases so that they can be immediately revealed and the perpetrators can be secured," Paulus said, Tuesday, August 25, 2020.
In the chronology described by the police, Henry and his colleague who is also an employee of the KPU Yahukimo, Kenan Mohi (38), walked together. They rode motorbikes to the Yahukimo KPU office after delivering the medicine to Kenan's house. While crossing near the bridge, the two of them were intercepted by an unknown person.
The stranger asked for Henry and Kenan's ID cards. However, Henry was immediately stabbed in the back using a sharp weapon when he was about to hand over his KTP. The perpetrator then fled to the forest.
One month later, the police also managed to arrest one of the suspected perpetrators named Arief Sonyap alias Koroway while carrying out a social service at the Secretariat of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB).

It was stated that the Senate Soll, who had the status of a fugitive, invited the defendant Ariel Sonyap alias Koroway to burn the bank.
The Papua Regional Police are still investigating the alleged involvement of Senaff Soll's group in the case
Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius D Fakhiri said the pursuit was intensified, considering that in addition to killing two TNI soldiers, Senaff Soll's group also took away two organic firearms and ammunition.
