KRI Banjarmasin 592, which is a Landing Platform Docking (LPD) type warship with Marine Lieutenant Colonel Commander (P) Nur Rohmad Ibrahim, will deploy troops who are tasked with securing vulnerable areas in Papua at the Merauke Pier.
The ceremony for the release of the battalion, nicknamed "Satan's Forces", the Papua Security Task Force (Satgas Pamrahwan) was led by Pangdam III Siliwangi Maj. Gen. Nugroho Budi Wiryanto at Mulyono Silam Field, North Jakarta Kolinlamil Pier on Monday (24/5/2021). Inspector of Kolinlamil, Laksma TNI Frendy H Saragih, was also present.
The KRI element that carries out marine operations (Kolinlamil for troop shift operations) prioritizes health protocols in every activity or movement. This is as instructed by the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, through the Commander of Kolinlamil, Laksda TNI Irvansyah.
"Starting from the embarkation of personnel, materials, during sea passage to the ship docked and debarking, it must refer to the health protocol procedures that have been established by the government," said the Kolinlamil Commander.
The Kolinlamil Commander said that until now the Kolinlamil warships, both under the guidance of the 1 Jakarta, 2 Surabaya and 3 Makassar Military Sea Crossing Units (Satlinlamil) are ready to support the implementation of military sea transportation support operations throughout the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). .
"Support will be in the western, central and eastern regions, according to the operation order," he said.
Marine Lieutenant Colonel (P) Nur Rohmad Ibrahim said the ship and all the crew he led were in a ready condition. The assignment to support the Papua Army Battalion's Serpas Pamrahwan Task Force is expected to take place safely and smoothly.
