Three members of the armed criminal group (KKB) surrendered and raised the red and white flag. The three of them have the initials YAW (34), MM (17) and OM (41) which are the Lekagak Telenggen terrorist group.
"It is true, the three people who surrendered were members of the Lekagak Telenggen terrorist group," said Head of Kogabwilhan III Colonel Czi IGN Suristiawa, Sunday (16/5/2021).
From the photos in circulation, it appears that the three of them are standing behind the red and white flag. They were seen raising the red and white saka accompanied by two members of the Task Force.
Suristiawa added that they surrendered themselves to the TNI apparatus of the Battalion 715 / Mtl Task Force. At that time, the authorities carried out a security patrol in Tanah Merah Village, Saturday (15/5/2021).
Apart from surrendering themselves, the three of them also handed over weapons in the form of air rifles, machetes, arrows, SS2 munitions and sofguns, several documents and other equipment, such as backpacks, cellphones, and others.
"Currently, the three terrorists and evidence have been submitted to the National Police's Nemangkawi Task Force for further investigation and processing," he said.
