The TNI-Polri's efforts to crush the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua have received support from various parties. A number of Eastern Indonesian youth who call themselves the Melanesian Clan Community support the TNI-Polri in eliminating the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua, because the actions of the KKB have so far been considered very unsettling for Papuans.
"We also fully support the government through the TNI-Polri and all stakeholders to work together in resolving and taking firm action against the KKB. However, it is still measurable," said Chairman of the Melanesian Clan, Kevin Rouw in an official statement to reporters on Sunday (2/5/2021 ).
Since the beginning of 2021, said Kevin, it was recorded that the KKB had committed a number of terror crimes in Papua. Even the acts of terror have killed civilians. Among them are teachers, motorcycle taxi drivers and students.
"We condemn and condemn the criminal acts committed by the KKB in Papua. These actions have certainly increasingly threatened the safety of citizens' lives," said Kevin.
The general secretary of the Melanesian Clan, Fauzan Rahawarin, hopes that the government will also open and ensure communication with related parties. This communication is important in order to produce the best solution.
"This includes communication to parties who seem counter to the way the government is doing," said Fauzan.
