DEMONSTRATION rejects racist actions against Papuan students as indicated by separatist groups being used to demand separation from Indonesia. However, seen from various aspects, the separation of Papua from the Republic of Indonesia cannot be done.

The government has also emphasized that Papua is an inseparable part of our beloved country, Indonesia. This should be understood by all parties, including overseas.

SBY also admitted that up to now Papua there are still structural problems as well as local problems that must be fixed. Therefore, the SBY administration firmly asks Australia to respect Indonesia's sovereignty.

The issue of racism often has a big impact, its implications for the unity and sovereignty of the country. Racism that leads to separatist actions will only create losses for all parties.
