Before entering the registration phase of candidate pairs (paslon) in the 2020 Pilkada Simultaneous, the West Papua Bawaslu ranks carried out a swab test or a coronavirus (Covid-19) swab test centered at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) West Papua Province.
Chairman of the West Papua Bawaslu Ibnu Mas'ud said the tests were carried out to ensure that the ranks of Election Supervisors in West Papua Bawaslu were free from Covid-19, before carrying out the supervision of the Simultaneous Regional Election 2020.
In addition, Ibnu also reminded to be consistent in adhering to health protocols, because it is the task of Bawaslu to oversee the implementation of the health protocol for handling Covid-19 in every stage of the 2020 Pilkada.
Meanwhile, Head of West Papua Bawaslu, Beni Wahon, said that the implementation of the test swab which was on the agenda of the provincial Bawaslu had been notified to the West Papua Covid-19 Task Force for the schedule and location of activities.
With this test, hopefully everyone is in good health and nothing is reactive.
