Welcoming the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian National Armed Forces work together with teachers and students



Ahead of the 75th anniversary of the Independence of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian-PNG Infantry Battalion 125 / Simbisa Task Force Soldier carried out community service activities with teachers and students of SD YPPK ST. Fransiskus Xaverius, Sota District, Merauke Regency, Papua, Monday (10/8/2020).

Dansatgas Pamtas RI-PNG Infantry Battalion 125 / Simbisa, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Anjuanda Pardosi said that the target of this community service activity was the installation of banners and cleaning the grounds of SD YPPK ST. Fransiskus Xaverius Yanggandur.

"Led by Danpos Yanggandur, Letda Inf Agustoni Siboro and four of its members work hand in hand with the teachers to carry out the work with enthusiasm and patience guiding and directing students," he said.

According to the Task Force, in addition to celebrating the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, this activity is also to instill understanding in students of the importance of environmental cleanliness and togetherness in completing a job. "As we all know, history proves that Indonesia is independent thanks to strong unity and integrity," he said.

Dansatgas added, through community service activities like this can provide many benefits and benefits for students, including a clean school environment so that it is not susceptible to disease outbreaks, training cooperation, increasing cohesiveness between teachers and students and so on.

"The formation of character from an early age is very important, so that in the future there will be no moral and mental degradation," he said.

Meanwhile, PLT Principal SD YPPK ST. Fransiskus Xaverius Yanggandur, Regina Wermasubun (40 years old) expressed her gratitude to the Task Force for being willing to assist in the implementation of this community service activity.

"Hopefully, the presence of the Task Force can be a motivation for our students to achieve their dreams," he said.
