Sentani Airport is preparing a service towards the policy of reopening flights in Papua.
The step was taken based on the results of a joint agreement at the meeting of the Governors of Papua and Forkopimda regarding the prevention, control and control of Covid-19 in Papua Province, which will reopen flights for passengers.
"Later flight service with a contextual relaxation policy will be socialized to passengers," said General Manager (GM) of Sentani Airport Jayapura, Antonius Widyo Praptono, Thursday (4/6).
In the flight policy only planes with the Jakarta-Jayapura-Jakarta route can land at Sentani Airport.
This guideline informs about various efforts to prevent, disseminate and implement Covid-19 health protocols, for example by implementing physical distancing, checking health documents, and checking body temperature not only for passengers but also for business partners and all personnel serving at the airport.
"We ensure cleanliness at public facilities such as counters, check-ins, trolly and so on. Intensive and periodic cleaning uses disinfectants to provide a sense of security to passengers while traveling," Antonius said.
Likewise with operational officers on duty, Angkasa Pura I requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) starting from protective glasses (goggles), masks, gloves and providing hand sanitizer in terminal areas.
"Our health protocol is to provide security and comfort to all passengers of airport services and to support the government's efforts in deciding the distribution of corona," he said.
