Residents Must Obey Health Protocols at Tourist Locations

Deputy Governor of Papua, Klemen Tinal reminded the public to continue to pay attention to health protocols at tourist sites.

The information he received, especially to people in Jayapura City, forgot about the application of health protocols at tourist sites.

"This is what makes one of the corona numbers in Jayapura City still high, so we ask the COVID-19 Papua Task Force to oversee tourist sites and remind residents to remain disciplined about health protocols," Klemen said, Friday (24/7).

The Papua Provincial Government has never banned its citizens from traveling, only that they have to carry out health protocols in order to prevent corona virus transmission.

"The COVID-19 Task Force must ensure that health protocols are carried out properly, so that corona transmission can be prevented. "We should, wherever we are, continue to run the discipline of wearing masks, keeping a distance and following the health protocol properly," he said.

In addition, Klemen requested the COVID-19 Task Force with Satpol PP and security officers to monitor every street at night. He is worried that there are still people crowding at night without implementing health protocols.

"The key to successfully dealing with the corona virus is in the community. If people are disciplined, I believe transmission does not happen again, "he explained.
