Police Support the Food Security Program in Yendinori District

Police Chief of Biak Numfor AKBP Murjatmo Edi visited and harvested the corn harvest from the food security program under the guidance of the Yendidori Police Station in Rarpimbo and the Suneri Village in Yendidori District, Thursday (7/23).

In addition to conducting the Corn Harvest Harvested by food security, the Police Chief also reviewed the construction of the new Yendidori Police Station.

The Harvest Kingdom was symbolically opened by the Biak Numfor Police Chief, followed by the ranks and attended by the people present.

The head of the district police expressed his appreciation for the Yendidori police station, who had been fostering the community in the local food security program.

The police chief said that activities like this were important to be carried out as a way to maintain food security, especially in the midst of the current COVID-19 Pandemic.

"Currently we are still faced with COVID-19 which also affects the economy, therefore the resilient village program in the framework of preparing food security is very important, so that we are ready to fulfill bapok independently, by replanting corn and vegetables and other basic needs, "He said.

The police chief hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and this food security program must be maintained, sustainable and enhanced so that it can be emulated by the community so that the community is more productive in helping the economy of the surrounding community.

"Around here, there is still a lot of vacant land that can be used, especially if it is self-sufficient so that it can have an impact on the economy that is more improved," said the police chief.

Meanwhile, Chief of Police Yendidori Ipda Ridwan Nanang expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Biak Numfor Police Chief with his entourage in order to support the food security program and at the same time carry out the harvest of one of the food crops under the guidance of Bhabinkamtibmas Yendidori Police Station.

"The activities of Bhabinkamtibmas have run according to expectations, and so far they have also coordinated with the Heads of their respective fostered villages, hopefully what has been going on can be enjoyed and felt especially by the community for the surrounding village communities," he said.

He said, six people from Bhabinkamtibmas Yendidori police station and in each fostered village had implemented a community empowerment program.

"By prioritizing labor-intensive activities to help food security in the current era," he concluded.
