The Regional Government of Nabire Regency, in this case the Nabire Regional General Hospital (RSUD) now has a closed system or molecular rapid test (TCM) to test the Covid-19 swab sample.
Starting from June 1, 2020, the Nabire Regency Government (Covid-19 Task Force) conducted a swab test in Nabire, no longer sending Covid-19 swab samples to the Papua Provincial Health Office Research and Development Agency.

Dr. Aaron Rumaimum, M. Kes explained, TCM already exists or is already owned by Nabire Regional Hospital. During this time, this tool (TCM) was used for TB examination but now it can be used for Covid-19 Swab Test.
Because the Ministry of Health has sent an additional device to be installed in the TCM machine, which is Cartridge at the request of the Regional Government. Regarding that, we from the provincial team came to Nabire to be together with the team of doctors or the Nabire Covid-19 team to operate this TCM machine. So, now the swab sample is not sent to Jayapura.
"So, we are optimistic today Nabire can operate this tool, can do swabs for 10 people who are treated in hospitals and the results can be known today," said Dr. Aaron Rumaimum.
Director of Nabire Regional Hospital, dr. Andreas Pekey was represented by Dr. Toto Suprapto, MARS, Head of the Hospital Medical Services Division, said that RSUD is in principle ready for HR, the medical team is ready.
