The Governor of West Papua Asks for the Tolerance Value of its Residents to be Maintained Well

West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan called on all residents including Manokwari Selata residents not to be too panicked about the Covid-19 outbreak. The governor asked citizens not to overdo it let alone take their own attitudes and conclusions.

"Just follow the government's advice, do not make additional movements so that the outbreak is not widespread and does not cause social problems in the community," said the Governor.

On that occasion Dominggus also said that West Papua Province is an area that has a very high tolerance value in this region of Indonesia. Therefore, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, residents are expected to keep their attitudes so that social problems do not occur, especially to disturb the stability of religious tolerance that has been well established in Papua.

"This is one of our wealth, even though we are facing a fairly large-scale problem, but we must work together to safeguard the wealth that has been passed down by our predecessors, which is very good tolerance," he said.
