| Submission of 40 Special Houses for Papuans with Low Income |
The Governor of West Papua, Drs.Dominggus Mandacan inaugurated 40 special houses (rusus) for Low-Income Communities (MBR), in Sabri, Ransiki District, South Manokwari District.
Governor Dominggis Mandacan said with the assistance provided it could reduce the difficulty of the community specifically the MBR who wanted to have a decent home.
In addition, the Governor advised that residents immediately occupy the houses provided and use the land for farming.
"After being inaugurated, the people who receive it must immediately occupy their homes, take good care so they can stay comfortable. Then, I order that this large yard must start planting cassava, taro and other food crops, so that in this corona period we will have food reserves, if rice can no longer be replaced by eating cassava, bananas and others, "Dominggus said.
Previously, Head of Housing Satker of the Ministry of PUPR West Papua, Pither Pakabu, said that the construction of the MBR project had been carried out since 2019 with an area of 2 hectares, 36 housing types were equipped with infrastructure.
On that occasion also provided assistance of self-help housing stimulants in the amount of Rp 21 million to 100 housing units.
