Jayapura Regency Government launches Learning program on TV Kenambai Umbai

The Jayapura Regency Government launched the Learning Program on TV Kenambai Umbai on Monday 18 May 2020. The launch of the learning program via television, in order to give special attention to the world of education amid the corona pandemic.

The Regent of Jayapura Regency, Mathius Awoitauw said there were three important things that the government had to do in handling Covid-19, including in the world of education which remained a serious concern.

"Education is the future of the nation, so the future of children in the world of education must not be sacrificed. If this happens, there will be an extraordinary setback, "said Mathius Awoitauw.

For this reason, Jayapura Regency Government ensures that children continue to receive education in accordance with national and regional education programs.

"In the current situation it cannot be 100%. But any effort will still be made to ensure education continues, "he said.

He hopes that the collaboration between the Jayapura District Education Office and the Papua Province, Diskominfo, PGRI and the Cable TV Association can have a positive impact in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Mathius also thanked the teachers who in the current limitations continue to struggle and encourage the world of education to succeed.

On that occasion, the Regent of Jayapura Regency, Mathius Awoitauw also handed over food aid to each teacher, as well as handed over tablet devices that would be used in the teaching and learning process through television.

To note, the learning program through TV Kenambai Umbai will be broadcast on tv kebel which already has 15,000 customers in Jayapura Regency.

Previously, to support the world of education, the Jayapura Regency government had launched a learning program through the Kenambai Umbai radio wave.
