Super Hero Police Promote Covid-19 Danger

Personnel from the East Mimika Sector Police and Poumako Port Regional Police, Mimika District Police, Papua, conducted a socialization of the dangers of the new corona virus or Covid-19, Sunday (4/26). Socialization was given to residents in the East Mimika District, by cooperating with the Cosplay Timika community.

Using super hero costumes, members of the police and cosplay community provided education on Covid-19 transmission and the importance of using masks. Aiptu Lalu Hiskam Anady representing the East Mimika Police Chief said that this activity was to educate residents about the dangers of Covid-19.

Residents are given knowledge how this virus can be transmitted to one another. One of them through the liquid from the mouth or nose (droplet) attached to the object.

Residents were given an appeal to keep social distancing, physical distancing, wash their hands with soap with running water, and use masks whether sick or not sick.

"We provide education so that citizens can comply with everything the government recommends so that the virus does not spread," said Lalu in Timika.

In addition to providing outreach, said Lalu, his party also distributed 250 masks to residents from donations to the humanitarian wallet. These distributed masks are made of cloth, and are bought from home tailors. This is an effort to improve the economy of citizens in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This mask is a home-based product. We bought it as an effort to improve their economy due to the impact of Covid-19, "he said.

Brigadier Yudik, who is also the head of the Timika cosplay community, said the activity not only provided education, but also entertained residents who stayed at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This activity is at the same time entertaining the residents," said Yudik who is also Bhabinkamtibmas in Cenderawasih Village, East Mimika District.
