"All of these Rp77 billion are for humanity, which is dealing with corona. Including food provided to help support citizens affected by corona, "explained Deputy Klemen, during the handover activities.
According to him, the provincial government never closed its eyes to the current Covid-19 outbreak. Because in addition to food aid, the Papua Provincial Government also helps from the financial side (cash)
"For the time being, we assist each regent and mayor of Rp2 billion each, but specifically for Jayapura Regency and Jayapura City an additional Rp2 billion, each of which is Rp4 billion, given the cases in these two regions have increased dramatically," he said.
It is known, the case of corona in Papua now continues to experience a significant increase. As of April 30, 2020, the positive number of Covid-19 reached 206 cases.
