TNI Manunggal Building Villages Can Break the Chain of Understanding Separatism

Implementation of the 107th TNI Manunggal Building Village (TMMD) TA. 2020 which began to be held in the Kodam XVIII / Kasuari region, namely in the Kodim 1803 / Fakfak task area, precisely in Kanantare Village, Central Fakfak District, Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province is one form of TNI's concern, especially in the context of improving people's welfare.

For the 107th TMMD in Fakfak Regency, Aster rated it as a strategic step, considering Kanantare Village is an area known as the 'red area', because community activities often carry separatist ideas, which are contrary to the philosophy in the State Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"The implementation of this TMMD activity is very strategic, because one of our goals is to strengthen Binter (Territorial Development), especially areas where there are still citizens who have different understandings / opposites of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, and one of them in this area. For this reason, we together with the community provide an understanding of Karya Bakti. We help them, then we work together. One of the goals is to break the chain of separatism, "Susanto said.

Further disclosed, in West Papua there are still some areas that need strengthening Binter. Therefore, this activity (TMMD) is an important and very strategic activity for Kodam XVIII / Cassowary in the context of strengthening Binter.

"We all certainly hope that what is done in this TMMD can provide maximum benefits to the community, as well as being able to make people aware that the Republic of Indonesia is final," he said.

"Let us together, both the TNI, local government, and all components of the community work hand in hand to build Kanantare and Fakfak in particular. Why? because this is our shared responsibility, so that the people of West Papua can enjoy prosperity, "he continued.

In line with Aster, Dandim 1803 / Fakfak in the same place said that in determining TMMD targets, the Fakfak Kodim looked at three aspects, namely geography, demography, and social conditions.

"We see Kanantare village from the standpoint of social conditions there needs to be a touch and assistance to all members of its community because in our judgment and the local government, that among our brothers and sisters in this village there are still some who say are exposed to separatist ideas," said Dandim Letkol Yatiman

Therefore, through this TMMD activity, development will be carried out, both in the form of physical rehabilitation of houses, and non-physical, one of which is in the form of national socialization.

"In this TMMD, in addition to improving dozens of people's homes, we will also provide understanding and inculcation of the values ​​of nationalism, so that the understandings (separatism) that have colored the community's mindset in recent years can be transformed into a loving community. NKRI, has a high fighting spirit and nationalism, "said Yatiman.
