Ministry of Public Works and Housing Builds Flat for Students in West Papua

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has contributed to improving the quality of education in West Papua. One of them is by building a flat for students of Theologia Erikson High School, Tritt Manokwari.

The vertical building is being built by the Ministry of PUPR with a three-story high and consists of 42 residential units of type 24. The construction budget is valued at Rp12.07 billion.

"We hope that by staying in this Rusunawa students at STT Erikson-Tritt Manokwari can focus more on studying," said the Head of a certain Non Vertical Work Unit (SNVT) Provision of West Papua Provincial Housing, Phiter Pakabu, through a press release on Monday (3/16) / 2020).

Pither explained, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing through the Directorate General of Housing will continue to encourage the development of educational support facilities such as Rusunawa in West Papua. This is needed to encourage young people in Eastern Indonesia to learn to live in vertical housing.

"We hope that students can maintain and choose this building well. Support from the campus and the local government for the Rusunawa development process is also very good, "he explained.

For information, Rusunawa STT Erikson - Tritt Campus is located in South Manokwari District, Manokwari Regency.

Meanwhile, the type of dwelling built is a lowrise building with a type of 24 square meters, three floors and a total of 42 units. The building was built in 2018.

For the construction of the towers, the Ministry of PUPR appointed a contractor, PT Wasitomas Berlian. Then, for the MK consultant, the CV was appointed by the Aesthetic Engineering Consultant Bureau and the CV Global Trinity furniture contractor.

"We complete all residences in Rusunawa with furniture such as beds, study tables and wardrobes," he explained.
