| Papua Provincial Government and Kapp work together to strengthen regional economy |
The Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the Papua Chamber of Business Entrepreneurs (KAPP) will work together to mobilize small and medium-sized businesses in order to drive the regional real economy.
Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, in Jayapura, Tuesday, hopes that strengthening the economy at the local or village level will strengthen regional economic fundamentals.
"In particular, the people in the villages will have stronger resistance to globalization such as the implementation of the 2016 ASEAN economic community," he said.
According to Lukas, the Papua Provincial Government continues to prioritize economic development policies in realizing the independence of the special Papuan Orang Asli (OAP) community.
"The goal is that OAP can compete against the 2016 ASEAN Economic Community so that it has also made efforts and breakthroughs through the Community Economic Empowerment Program, which is focused on commodity zoning based on five development areas, integration of planting, picking, processing and selling as well as Prospects," he said.
