Ensure the Safety of PON, Menpora and TNI-Polri Synergize

As one of the biggest sporting events in Indonesia, security certainly plays an important role in organizing the XX National Sports Week (PON). Followed by thousands of athletes from 32 provinces, they are expected to compete safely and comfortably.

Dispelling this concern, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali ensures that the PON can run safely. Because, the TNI-Polri work together in ensuring the security of PON.

Cendrawasih Military Commander Maj. Gen. Herman Asaribab added, this synergy would be carried out both with the National Police up to the level of the community. "We, the TNI-Polri, are ready to secure this event. We will succeed and support the smooth PON. Even after the PON, we will continue to support," Herman said.

Meanwhile, Papua Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw also provided support in ensuring the safety of the PON. "We, in charge of security and comfort, certainly want PON to run successfully. We and the TNI continue to work together, "he explained.

The synergy was previously announced at a joint working meeting with the Indonesian Parliament. As one of the biggest sporting events in Indonesia, the success of PON is stated to require cooperation from all parties.
