The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned two employees of The Capital Reseidence named E Winda Subastian and Ratih Desyani, Thursday (15/12/2022). The two were investigated regarding the ownership of the assets of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe.
"The two witnesses were present and explored their knowledge, among others, related to the alleged ownership of suspect LE's assets (Lukas Enembe)," said the Head of the KPK Reporting Section, Ali Fikri in his statement in Jakarta, Friday (16/12/2022).
However, Ali did not specify what assets were investigated by investigators. He only stated that the two witnesses were being questioned at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta and that their statements were believed to be able to assist in the investigation of the alleged bribery and gratuity case that dragged down the name of Lukas.
Apart from Winda and Ratih, on the same day, the KPK was also supposed to examine two witnesses from the private sector, namely David Haluk and Julien Yumin Wonda. However, both of them did not comply with the summons for examination.
"Both witnesses were not present and immediately summoned again," he said.
Previously, the investigation team had also asked for direct information from Lukas about this case. The examination was carried out at Luke's residence in Jayapura, Papua, Thursday (3/11/2022). In fact, the chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, was part of the team that went to Papua.
Firli said the results of Lukas Enembe's examination would be a reference for the KPK to take the next steps. "The next step is of course we will look again at the results of our examinations, both from the investigation team, including the medical team we brought earlier," said Firli in Papua, Thursday.
Firli ensured that the KPK would continue to investigate the alleged corruption case that ensnared Lukas. However, he said, the suspect's health condition would remain a priority in the law enforcement process.
"But the most important thing is that we continue to prioritize law enforcement while taking into account the suspect's health condition," he said.
The KPK has named Lukas Enembe as a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to work or projects originating from the Papua Province APBD. The KPK has yet to officially announce the status of the suspect, Lukas Enembe. Publication of case construction and parties who have been designated as suspects will be carried out when forced efforts have been made to either arrest or detain the suspect.
