Papua Youth Creative Hub IDR 95 Billion to be Completed Soon



The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) disbursed IDR 95.05 billion to build the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) which is 11 km from the city of Jayapura, Papua.

One of the reasons for the establishment of PYCH is because President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) sees many Papuans as superior seeds with good talent in the fields of science, arts and culture, and sports.

Head of the Papua Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center Corneles Sagrim said PYCH was built on an area of 15,000 meters, PYCH has a main building area of 3,520 meters and 1,812 meters of supporting buildings.
 
The construction work was carried out by PT Nindya Karya (Persero) with consultants PT Yodya Karya (Persero) KSO PT Mandiri Cakti Consultindo.

The work was carried out under the Multi Years Contract (MYC) scheme, and so far the physical progress of the PYCH construction has reached 98%.

Built 2 floors high with a total area of 5,392 meters and 3,000 meters of green land, the PYCH development includes the main building, dormitory, sports venue, hall for exhibitions or presentations, and co-working space.

"The Papua Youth Creative Hub building will be equipped with co-working space, exhibition space, theater space for arts and culture development, research space, culinary space and health," Corneles Sagrim said in a written statement, Monday (11/21/2019). 2022).

Corneles further stated that the dormitory building will also be equipped with a parking area with a capacity of 53 cars, 154 motorbikes, and landscaping.

It is hoped that PYCH can become a driving force and function as a center for the development of young talents in Papua.

In addition, PYCH can act as a center of creativity for young Papuans in strengthening a good innovation and technology ecosystem.
