Formapa Asks KPK to Don't Hesitate to Act on Lukas Enembe

The demonstration initiated by the Papuan Land Development Student and Youth Solidarity Forum (Formapa) took place at the Horse Statue, Monas, Central Jakarta. The crowd of 90 people urged the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) not to hesitate to process Lukas Enembe.

They also carried posters and banners containing challenges and urging that the legal process against Lukas Enembe be enforced.
 
"We support the KPK's move to process Lukas Enembe. If necessary, he should be arrested until he is tried in a corruption case," said Formapa's coordinator of the action, Charles when he arrived at the location.

Charles, who represented the Papuan youth, said that the legal process against Luke is important so that a sense of justice can be realized. Moreover, there are still many people in Papua who live in poverty line.

"All are equal in the eyes of the law. If they are guilty and there is evidence of corruption, the KPK does not need to hesitate," said Charles.

Charles also emphasized that the Papuan youth asked the KPK not to hesitate to eradicate anyone involved in corruption cases.
 
"KPK must be more aggressive in eradicating corruption for the sake of the Republic of Indonesia that is free from corrupt actors," he explained.

The masses also wanted to go to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building to express their aspirations directly.

"We are ready to support the KPK in enforcing the legal process against Lukas Enembe," Charles concluded.

For your information, Lukas was named a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification of Rp. 1 billion related to a project sourced from the Papuan APBD. However, the examination of Lukas was tough.

The KPK has scheduled an examination on September 12 at the Papua Regional Police. However, the Democrat politician was absent citing illness.

The KPK then rescheduled the examination for September 26 in Jakarta. However, Lukas Enembe is back out for the same reason.
