The Kehiran Sentani Road, which stretches from the intersection of Jalan to Yahim Sentani to Toware and Kwadeware, is currently under construction.

The Head of the Jayapura Regency Public Works Agency, Alphius Toam, said that his party was starting work on the road section in stages. It is adjusted to the availability of the existing budget.

"We plan to complete it this year, but because the budget is only available for 1 km. So it starts from the entrance of Dobonsolo from Jalan Yahim to near the farm. That's all that will be done later, but I ask the Head of the Division to try to find a way out of Jalan Tabita," said Alphius Toam, Saturday (11/9).
 
He said that the planned work on the road segment is actually part of the work that will be completed by the Jayapura Regency government, especially along Jalan Kehiran which is about 5 kilometers long.

This road work is part of the arrangement and improvement of Jalan Sentani and its surroundings.

Furthermore, the Jayapura Regency Government has also built a number of alternative connecting roads around the Sentani City area, Jayapura Regency. Although he admits that in the work of this alternative road, the government has encountered quite a challenge, especially related to the blocking carried out by indigenous peoples. According to him, the government has no other purpose than to provide welfare to the people.

He added that alternative roads in Sentani and its surroundings that have been worked on by the government are alternative roads from Telaga Ria to Kalkote, then exit at Nendali to Dapur Papua from Nendali-Hati Ilang exit at Yabaso the access goes to the Ifar Besar area, Jembatan Kuning and next. Then the Yabaso Alternative Road goes to Komba through Yahim Beach access, then from Jalan Komba accesses via Jalan Kehiran-Pasar Baru. Next, access Jalan Kehiran via Toware and exit to Doyo Lama.

"These roads will be functioned when in the future there are big activities in the city, these roads will become a liaison for the community," he said.
