As many as 34 employees of PT Dharma Harapan Raya (DHR) since Monday (12/9) night, were evacuated to Oksibil after their camp was shot at by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
"The evacuation was carried out twice, initially 24 people who arrived Monday night in Oksibil, using the project vehicle, and Tuesday after being picked up," said the Head of the Bintang Mountains Police, AKBP Cahyo Sukarnito, Tuesday.
When contacted from Jayapura, the Police Chief stated that upon arrival in Oksibil a medical examination was immediately carried out, because it turned out that several people were injured.
The injuries are thought to have been caused by sprains or scratches while trying to escape shortly after the shooting.
KKB reportedly burned six heavy equipment belonging to the company at three crime scenes (TKP) which are located relatively close together.
PT. Dharma Harapan Raya is currently carrying out road construction from Oksebang District to Kiwirok District, Bintang Mountains District, Papua, said Cahyo.
When asked about the perpetrators of the attack, AKBP Cahyo said that the perpetrators of the attack were the KKB group led by Lamel Taplo.
When carrying out the attack by shooting at the employee camp, the number of KKB was more than 10 people, but it cannot be confirmed because it was raining heavily.
The distance from the TKP is about 2.5 hours by car from Oksibil, said AKBP Cahyo Sukarnito as well.
