KPK Explores the Use of "Private Jet" Lukas Enembe and Family

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the use of a private jet by the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, through an examination of the Director of Asia Cargo Airline, Revy Dian Permata Sari, as a witness.

Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, said investigators were examining Revy because Lukas had several times rented a jet from the airline company.

"The witness was present and his knowledge of the witness was studied, including about the existence of several private jet rentals carried out by LE and his family," said Ali in a written message to reporters, Wednesday (28/9/2022).
 
Ali said that Revy was questioned by investigators at the KPK Red and White Building, South Jakarta yesterday, Tuesday (27/9/2022).

Originally, investigators also examined a student named Selvi Purnama Sari.

However, Selvi did not answer the call. The investigator then rescheduled the examination.

"It will be rescheduled for inspection today," said Ali.

Information on the use of a private jet by Lukas was also disclosed by the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), Boyamin Saiman. He revealed a list of 25 Luke's trips abroad and within the country.

Some of the trips were recorded using private jets.

The KPK has named Lukas a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to a project sourced from the Papua Provincial Government Budget.
 
Lukas was supposed to be questioned on September 12 at the Papua Regional Police but he was absent due to illness. The KPK then rescheduled the examination for September 26.

However, Lukas is back out for the same reason.

Luke's attorney then went to the KPK to carry out his client's condition.

They tried to discuss the possibility that the KPK doctor would go to Papua to examine Lukas in Jayapura.

In this regard, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK stated that he would coordinate with the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI). The KPK needs a second opinion regarding Luke's condition.

"There must be a second opinion. We have ordered that we coordinate with IDI to check Pak Lukas, maybe in Jayapura," said Alex when met by the media crew at the KPK's Red and White Building, Monday (26/9/2022).

Meanwhile, Ali assessed that Luke's request for a KPK doctor to visit Jayapura was inappropriate. Because the KPK is the party with an interest in summoning Luke, not summoned.

"This is what we called the suspect, not us who were summoned and ordered to go there," he said.
