The government of Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province, will seek for its students spread throughout Indonesia to have health insurance.
Jayawijaya Regent Jhon Richard Banua in Wamena, Sunday, said his party had conveyed to students during a work visit to monitor student dormitories in the country.
"The important thing is that Jayawijaya students in any study city, if there is no BPJS Health, they can give us ID cards and family cards so that we register them at BPJS Health," he said.
According to Jhon Banua, even though the Jayawijaya students are far from their area, they still get the same health services as provided in this district.
On working visits to a number of student dormitories in Papua Province and outside Papua, the regent motivated students to be diligent and study hard.
"I hope the younger brothers and sisters, especially those who take medical school, must be really serious and take advantage of that opportunity," he said.
The former Deputy Regent of Jayawijaya for two terms confirmed that his party had allocated a special budget to support the progress of education in this region.
"We have prepared funds for students who want to continue to a higher level, especially for those who want to study at vocational schools, professions, and other special schools," he said.
