The DPC of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) of Jayapura City and the DPD of the KNPI Papua have agreed to cooperate to provide legal learning and understanding for Papuan Youth. This was revealed during a meeting between the leaders of the two institutions at the Peradi DPC Joint Secretariat Office in Jayapura City, Padang Bulan, Jayapura, Papua.
Head of Peradi DPC Jayapura City Pieter Ell, SH expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Chairman of the KNPI DPD and other administrators who came to Peradi's office and discussed Papuan youth and cooperation plans." His party agreed that there would be an MOU with KNPI so that in the future there will be cooperation in the context of learning law and human rights for the younger generation of Papua to be encouraged together.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Papua Province KNPI DPD, Benyamin Gurik, accompanied by KNPI Secretary Semmy Kogoya and MPI Frangkling Wahey, expressed his appreciation to Peradi as an advocate association in Jayapura and Papua in general which is committed to supporting each other and working together in the future to develop Papuan youth. One of the collaborations that will be carried out is to provide training and learning related to law and human rights for youth who are members of the KNPI. It is the hope that, with a good understanding of the law, Papuan youth can work and be rich in the legal field, and this will become a job opportunity for Papuan youth in the future.
“High appreciation to Peradi, because it is only in our management that we can hold audiences and have direct discussions and will even collaborate with Peradi institutions. This is the first audition with Peradi as a partner,” he said.
It is said that KNPI is here to prepare the nation's cadres and especially the Papuan Youth in continuing the development relay and for that, partnering with the advocates' association is very appropriate to do.
"We have agreed that an MoU will be carried out with Peradi, especially to provide legal understanding, as well as how to prepare youths to become lawyers or work in other legal fields and this is welcomed by the Chairperson of Peradi and his staff," he said, adding that in the future his party would prepare the younger generation to be involved. in activities carried out with Peradi.
His party hopes that there will be a response of support from all local governments in Papua Province by preparing the younger generation to have a common understanding of the law and become part of lawyers through Peradi. with local governments to provide special quotas," he said.
On the occasion of the meeting which took place in a friendly atmosphere, the chairman of the DPC Peradi Jayapura City, PIeter Ell, SH, handed over Banu Peradi as a souvenir for the chairman of the DPD KNPI Papua, Benjamin Gurik.
