This Papuan native male officer has officially become a star. Officially holds the rank of First Admiral. He is Yohanis Yulius Tamoni, an officer of the Indonesian Navy, a native Papuan son.

"Yohanis Yulius Tamoni officially bears the rank of First Admiral of the TNI by reporting his promotion to the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral Yudo Margono at the Denma Mabesal Auditorium Building, Cilangkap, East Jakarta a few days ago," said the Head of the Navy Information Service ( Kadispenal) First Admiral TNI Julius Widjojono, in his statement received in Jakarta, Thursday (5/5).
 
According to Julius, TNI Admiral Yulius Tamoni is an alumnus of the XXXVII/1991 Naval Academy. Since March 25, 2022, Laksma Yulius Tamoni has served as Kapok Sahli Koarmada III. Previously, when he was colonel, Yulius Tamoni served as Deputy Commander of Lantamal XIV/Sorong.

"Together with Laksma TNI Yulius, there are eleven high-ranking officers who report promotions to Kasal," he said.
 
Of the 11 officers who were promoted, said Julius, two officers were promoted from First Admiral (Laksma) to Rear Admiral (Laksda). The two officers who officially bear the two stars are TNI Admiral Ferial Fachroni and TNI Admiral Wahyu Mujiono. Meanwhile, nine other officers with the rank of Colonel officially became First Admiral or Brigadier General (Brigjen).

"So of the nine officers who were promoted to one star apart from Admiral TNI Yulius, Admiral TNI Ni Ketut Prabhawati, Admiral TNI Tangka Nouldy Jan, Admiral TNI Syamsul Bachri, Admiral TNI Widiyantoro, Brigadier General (Mar) Cecep Ruhiat, Brigadier General (Mar) Suprapto Adi, Brigadier General (Mar) Purwanto Djoko P, Brigadier General (Mar) Tony Kurniawan, and Admiral TNI Samista," he said.

Meanwhile, when receiving a promotion report, Kasal Admiral Yudo Margono emphasized that officers who were promoted should not waste the opportunity, because the term of office has a limit.

"Use this opportunity to work and be useful as proof that we once existed. That is the best way for us to be grateful to God and serve our country," he said.
