KKB Shoots Truck Driver in Puncak Papua Regency



The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) is at it again. The separatist group is suspected of shooting a truck driver, Nober Palintin, 31.

"It is true that there were shootings of civilians who work as truck drivers around Kali Ilame, Wako Village, Gome District, Puncak Regency," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in a written statement, Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
 
Kamal said the shooting took place at 10.30 WIT, Wednesday, May 11, 2022. The brutal incident occurred when the victim and a resident with the initials AT went to Kali Ilame, Wako Village, Gome District, to collect sand materials.
 
Then, at around 10.30 WIT, two gunshots were heard. After a few minutes, five more shots were heard from the direction where the victim took the sand.

"Hearing gunshots, joint personnel from the Puncak Polres and the Gakkum Task Force along with the TNI went directly to the crime scene (TKP). When they got there, the personnel only found the truck the victim was carrying," Kamal explained.

Next, the team combed around the TKP and Kali Ilame around a radius of 500 meters. However, found no signs or whereabouts of the victim.

"Until now the joint team is still looking for the whereabouts of the victim," said Kamal.
