Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) terrorists burned 3 houses in Yahukimo Regency. A gun battle with officers happened when KKB members burned down 3 houses, right in Yahukimo's capital, Dekai.
"The gunfight lasted for about an hour. None of our members were victims in a shootout in downtown Yahukimo last Tuesday," said Head of the Nemangkawi Law Enforcement Task Force, Kombes Faisal Ramadhani, in Jayapura, Thursday (19/8/2021).
Meanwhile, the arson of 3 residents' houses was carried out by KKB members from Monday (16/8) to Tuesday (17/8). There were no casualties when the arson was carried out.
The KKB members involved in the burning of 3 houses in Dekai are thought to be from the Tenius Gwijangge group based in Nduga Regency.
"The Tendius group was ordered by its leader Lekagak Telenggen from Nduga to Yahukimo to spread acts of terror there. This group has five long-barreled weapons and two short-barreled weapons," he explained.
The Tendius group also shot dead four construction workers and a civilian who was seriously injured in Bingki Village, Seredala District, Yahukimo Regency on June 24, 2021.
Currently two Nemangkawi Task Force Teams have been assigned to pursue the perpetrators, even the leadership has prepared additional members.
"Two Nemangkawi Task Force teams totaling 20 personnel are currently pursuing this group. We plan to increase the number of personnel there," added Faisal.
