Contrary to the boasting of Sebby Sembom (OPM propagandist), the KKB in Papua is not a military force. Liberation soldiers, they're just a bunch of terrorists.
Because it has been proven in various cases, the KKB attack did not only target Indonesian military forces. But also civilians.
And not only immigrant civilians, but also indigenous Papuans.
An example of a case that we can remember the most, for example, is the murder of 31 Istaka Karya workers who were working on the Trans Papua project in 2018.
Then there is another, for example, the motorcycle taxi driver they killed last September 2020.
And most recently, was the murder of 2 teachers and a motorcycle taxi driver in Beoga. Accompanied by the action of burning schools and houses there.
Even though Sebby Sembom the boaster claims unilaterally that the 2 teachers are spies, I believe that is nonsense.
KKB clearly likes to kill indiscriminately, because they have an unwarranted hatred towards migrants and local residents who do not comply with their wishes.
And these 2 teachers are examples of victims of their barbaric behavior.
It is widely known that KKB likes to rob kiosks in Papua, because they can no longer rob Otsus funds. And one of the teachers in Beoga was killed while guarding the stall.
So my suspicion is that he was killed because he didn't want to give money to this gang. Not because he's a spy.
Although the OPM always claims that they are only fighting the military and the apparatus, not civilians, the KKB action clearly refutes this statement.
For the OPM, which has always pretended to be oppressed by Indonesia, the killing of civilians by their group is clearly a big blunder.
Their image attempts to corner Indonesia with human rights issues will fail miserably, because they themselves are clearly rotten.
So Sebby Sembom was forced to hurry up and cover up the facts. But how long can this stench be covered up?
Although the OPM claims that the Papuan KKB is the OPM's “army”, the KKB is clearly not an army, a waste of organized troops. They are just a group of armed bandits scattered in areas that are difficult for the authorities to reach.
Currently, because the interests of the OPM and the KKB are the same, they seem to be fighting together.
But from their blunders, it is clear that the OPM and KKB are actually not compatible. Most likely they weren't even allies.
Thus, the relationship between OPM and KKB is actually fragile.
For example, if Papua is completely separated from Indonesia, it is unlikely that the OPM and the KKB in Papua will get along. In fact, even among the KKB, there will be clashes with each other, because the leaders of these gangs are fighting for power.
For now, it seems that this cycle of OPM and KKB blunders will only continue to repeat itself.
The OPM will continue to make statements that what they are doing is the struggle for independence. And the KKB are their “soldiers”, who will only attack the military and officers.
And not long after, the KKB will take action to kill civilians indiscriminately again. Contrary to OPM claims.
Then, the OPM had to rush to say again that what KKB killed was a spy. It's not though.
That goes on until doomsday.
But in the end, OPM will not be able to continue to cover up the stench of the real facts. Namely that this KKB is not their “army”. It's just a terrorist group.
