The Deputy Chief of the Papuan Police, Brigadier General Eko Rudi Sudarto, on Monday provided briefing for the youth noncommissioned officers who graduated from 2020/2021 who will be tasked with securing the XX PON.
The briefing which took place on the tennis court, attended by officials within the Papuan Regional Police, was attended by 275 new non-commissioned officers who will be on duty during the XX PON which will take place in four cities in Papua.
The Deputy Chief of Police in his briefing said that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, everyone is expected to always be vigilant, because this pandemic is not an ordinary thing because it has been almost two years.
"Our future life is a mystery, so in the context of this life we will not know what will happen until we need to prepare ourselves," he said.
"The younger non-commissioned officers who join here are the chosen ones, so they need to be reminded to always be grateful at all times, you guys to keep your commitment, discipline and role model until you are ready to accept the challenges ahead,".
"If you encounter difficulties, always ask and ask for guidance from your seniors, don't stop learning because we don't know what will happen in the future, but if we follow the process correctly, the results will be good," hoped the Deputy Chief of the Papua Police.
The young non-commissioned officer who is a graduate of the Bse G Jayapura state police school (SPN) will be trained in various skills before joining the security of XX PON.
PON XX will take place from October 2-15 in four cities in Papua, namely Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Merauke and Mimika Regency.
