Lekagak Telenggen's former subordinates are friendly with the Indonesian National Police

Police personnel from the Binmas Noken Task Force gave food packages to a former member of Lekagak Telenggen's subordinate, Boni T. The former member of the armed criminal group (KKB) is now on good terms with the TNI and Polri troops.

Boni T is known to have repented following in the footsteps of his gang and returned to the Republic of Indonesia in 2016. Currently, the person in question is under the guidance of the National Police's Noken Binmas Task Force.

The man who lives in Kulirik Village, Muara District also received basic food assistance from the police. This resident who works as a farmer on the hillsides of Kampung Yambi also maintains good relations with the TNI and Polri troops.

In fact, it is not uncommon for Boni T to provide information to TNI and Polri personnel when foreigners enter his territory. Because they are worried that they are part of the KKB members.

Even though they have been carrying out activities like most residents in Puncak Regency, Papua, TNI and Polri personnel still routinely educate the former KKB so that they do not return to carrying out acts of terror with their former colleagues.

For this reason, he is ready to help joint personnel educate residents so that the situation in the area remains conducive, especially in Kulirik and Yambi villages.

"He also wants to invite the community to maintain the security and security situation in Kurilik and Yambi villages, so that the construction activities of the Trans Mulia-Sinak Road run smoothly," said Head of Regional Head of the Binmas Task Force, Iptu Alauddin Patawari, Friday (11/6/2021).

Meanwhile, Boni T expressed his gratitude to the Binmas Noken Police Task Force for the assistance of the basic food packages given to him and his family.

"Thank you for this food aid," he said.

Boni T admitted that he chose to leave the KKB because he was always worried. When he was with the leader of a terrorist group, Lekagak Telenggen, he always moved from place to place and lived in the forest because he felt insecure.

Even for food, he said, he always asked the residents in a village they passed while carrying weapons as a form of threat. Not infrequently he also sent people to ask for groceries from families in the city.

Now Boni T feels much calmer after leaving the KKB group. He can live a more decent life and not worry when he meets the TNI and Polri troops.
