The Bintuni Bay General Election Commission is optimistic that the logistics distribution for the regional head elections or regional elections will run safely and smoothly. Logistics began to be distributed to the farthest areas by helicopter yesterday.
“Logistics have started to be distributed to Moskona and some of the farthest districts. The distribution uses helicopters with tight security from the police, "said the acting secretary of the Bintuni Bay General Election Commission (KPU) Ganen Seknun.
Logistics distribution to all regions is targeted to be completed on the day before the voting, except for Bintuni District. The distribution to Bintuni will only be carried out about two hours before the voting.
"Logistics to Bintuni were distributed last, namely on December 9 at 05.00 (Papua Time). So, at 06.00 all logistics are confirmed to be in 21 polling stations (TPS) in Bintuni, "explained Seknun.
The KPU Teluk Bintuni has prepared 195 polling stations in 117 villages in 24 districts. They will serve around 45,800 voters registered in the 2020 Pilkada.
Secretary of the Bintuni Bay General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Fadly Liptiay, ensured that their entire territory was cleared of various campaign props. The curbing was carried out on the day before the election calm period.
“The contestants' APK (campaign props) have been put in order since December 5. Currently, nothing is displayed in Bintuni City and its surrounding areas. We hope that residents will report (to Bawaslu) if they find out that there is an APK that officials have not controlled, ”said Liptiay.
