The 2020 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) is currently entering the campaign stage. In Merauke, Papua, the local KPU has divided campaign zones to be filled with 3 candidate pairs (paslon) who campaign in turns.
In this five-year national celebration, one of the religious figures who is also the administrator of the Merauke Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB), Ust Wawan Gunawan, asked the candidates, the success team to the community, to jointly maintain the bonds of brotherhood and harmony that have been bind up with good.
His party did not expect that the moment of the Pilkada, during the campaign stage, would be used as an arena for mutilating and vilifying one another.
"The harmony and harmony that has been built in Merauke must be maintained, not because the Election will crack," he told reporters.
He believes that the candidates who run as participants in the Merauke Regional Election are figures with capacity and are seen as having abilities.
He hopes that the campaign period which has been determined by the KPU organizers can be used properly. The main thing is in conveying ideas and work programs to residents, without anyone criticizing each other.
"We need to appreciate all the programs delivered for goodness. Support and choice issues, please choose according to your heart, "he pleaded.
Therefore, he continued, the regional elections in Merauke must be safe and peaceful. Until later it produces regional leaders according to people's choice.
