Jery said that the background of the launch of Anti Corona Youth in Papua was due to the number of Covid-19 infections in Jayapura City which is currently experiencing a significant increase.

While related to the launching of the Republic of Indonesia Anniversary activities, it was a rehearsal or trial of the implementation of the Republic of Indonesia Anniversary ceremony which will be held on August 17, 2020.
Because later the anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day ceremony will no longer be held at the Mandala Stadium in Jayapura. But in the yard of the Governor's Office Doc II Jayapura, with limited invitation.
