Continue Otsus and Commit to Safeguarding the Situation in Papua

Simon Kossay assessed that the special autonomy (Otsus) that the central government had given Papua had not failed.

He claims that there is a lot of clear evidence that proves that Otsus has succeeded in changing people's welfare slowly.

He hopes that all parties join hands to support Otsus volume II in Papua, considering that Otsus has brought many changes for Papua.

"If there is no special autonomy and only hope that the APBD and APBN, Papua will be left behind many other regions in Indonesia. Not to mention in terms of partisanship, Papua will be left behind, "he said.

Simmon also gave notes to the central government and local governments so that they can carry out an evaluation of Otsus.

"We must support Papua's Special Autonomy, as well as its evaluation. If there is someone who thinks that Otsus failed, it is only the opinion of the elements, so an evaluation must be carried out, ”he said.
