West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) Headquarters Management stated that TPNPB-OPM General Operations Commander Major General Lekagak Telenggen said that TPNPB lost the best soldier to the death of Tandi Kogoya, 35, Commander of the TPNPB Battalion Operation KODAP VIII Kemabu Intan Jaya. Lekagak announced mourning, over the death of the TPNPB soldier, 11/04.
Meanwhile, TPNPB Operations Commander for the Defense of VIII Kemabu-Intan Jaya Regional Command Gusby Waker said: "I as the Operations Commander stated that everything that happened was true," he said. Gusby Waker added that as Operation Commander he was responsible for the deaths of the two TPNPB-OPM soldiers.
Gusby Waker protested because the funeral of his men was not handed over to the family. "The funeral process was not carried out professionally. Every soldier who died had to return it to his family," he said. He claimed TPNPB in every battle after killing the enemy never carried a corpse and buried or burned.
In addition, the West Papua National Liberation Army Central Management Headquarters requested a ceasefire in the Ndugama Region, Intan Jaya, Timika, Tembagapura and Oksibil Bintang Mountains due to the Corona virus outbreak. However, his request has been ignored by the Indonesian National Police.
