The Provincial Government of Papua again extends social restrictions until the upcoming May 6, 2020, due to the number of positive corona or Covid-19 patient cases on the Cenderawasih earth showing a significant increase.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal together with Forkompinda Papua, representatives of Jayapura City and Regency Governments, representatives of the Keerom District Government and the Papua Covid-19 Task Force, agreed to extend social restrictions to 6 May 2020.

The provincial government also added the word "tightened" in social restrictions to limit self-service operations and community activities outside the home until 14.00 Wit.
