The TNI and Polri officers who are on duty in Mimika Regency, Papua Province have stated their joint commitment to continue to care for and maintain togetherness in the implementation of the task of maintaining security and stability in the region.

The joint commitment was stated by Mimika Police Chief AKBP I Gusti Era Adhinata and Kodim 1710 Mimika Commander Lt. Col. Inf Pio L Nainggolan while leading the rally with the leadership of the TNI and Polri units in Mimika at the Mimika Police Station on Jalan Agimuga, Mile 32, Timika, Monday.

"Yesterday we learned about the incident at Mamberamo Raya Regional Police Station. What happened should be made a lesson that we must support each other, we cannot carry out our own tasks without the help of our colleagues from the TNI. For that togetherness we must guard, not to happen. such a thing, "said AKBP Era Adhinata.

The Chief of Police said in the midst of the emergency situation the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak that now hit Indonesia, including in the Mimika region, included a series of violent actions carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), a harmonious and integrated cooperation between the TNI, Polri and elements of the community was needed. the other.

"The number of Mimika Regional Police personnel is currently very minimal to be able to attend every activity, where we are currently facing an outbreak of COVID-19 and KKB. We are grateful that Mimika Regional Police continues to get help from our colleagues namely BKO Brimob from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police. there are also many task forces from various TNI-Polri units who assist us in operational tasks in the field, "said AKBP Era Adhinata.

Dandim Mimika Lt. Col. Inf Pio L Nainggolan welcomed the apple activities with the ranks of the TNI and Polri in Mimika.

The Dandim acknowledged that the burden of tasks faced by the TNI and Polri officers in the Mimika area was getting heavier, especially after the KKB had been introduced from a number of neighboring districts into the Mimika region.

"KKB, which were in sectors in Puncak, Puncak Jaya, Nduga, are now all in the Mimika area. For this reason, we must maintain synergy here because there cannot be one unit of TNI-Polri to handle it, but we all have to help, including the regional government and other relevant agencies, "said Lieutenant Colonel Nainggolan.
