Richard Ohee, the eldest son of the perpetrators of the history of Papua's integration into the Republic of Indonesia, Ramses Ohee (late) spoke about the strategy for developing Papua, including the strategy for dealing with corruption cases in Cenderawasih Earth.

As is well known, since June 2022 the Province of Papua has been divided into 3 new new autonomous regions, namely the Province of Central Papua, South Papua Province and Papua Mountains Province.
"Regarding this division, he (the late Ramses Ohee) has long urged Jakarta to realize it immediately, but Jakarta has been slow to respond. Now that the goods (DOB) are finished, that's a strategy. Build Papua must know a specific strategy, like the three provinces that have already been made, that's a strategy," said Richard Ohee in Waena, Thursday (17/11/2022).
Through this division, continued Richard Ohee, it will have an impact on many things, including the rearrangement of the Special Autonomy (Otsus) funds, both in terms of the amount of the allocated funds and the monitoring system to minimize the potential for irregularities, aka corruption.
Richard Ohee also provided a specific strategy related to dealing with corruption in Papua. Richard Ohee asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to open an office in Papua and partner with traditional leaders. According to Richard Ohee, the involvement of traditional leaders as part of the Corruption Eradication Committee's network in Papua is because these traditional leaders know every citizen who lives in their customary territory well.
Richard gave an example, as an Ondofolo in Waena's customary territory, almost all Waena residents know his origins, his occupation and even his social life. In the Ondofolo apparatus, Richard is assisted by five chiefs who also know all the residents who live in the area of the chiefs.
"The government has given Papua a lot of money through Otsus. To make it easier for the KPK to track the use of the Special Autonomy money, there must be a KPK branch office here (Papua), then the KPK network here is the network for Ondoafi. So, the KPK office is all networked by indigenous people. So, KPK just wait at the office, the information will arrive at the office. There must be an office, you want to eradicate corruption (in Papua) but the KPK office is far away there (Jakarta). What's the point, there has to be a branch here," said Richard Ohee.
Likewise for how to handle the corruption case that ensnared the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe, Richard Ohee also asked the anti-corruption agency to first arrest and detain those closest to Lukas who are indicated to have the money of the number one person in Papua.
"Let him (Luke) take it easy, we are waiting for his health (to improve) but the people around him must be cleaned one by one. Those thieves are smarter than the KPK. If (money) is placed in the Regional Secretary, it will be easy for people to know," said Richard Ohee.
Richard admitted that he was ready to support the KPK to investigate close people who have links to the alleged corruption that was accused of Lukas, as long as the suspected close people are domiciled in his customary territory in Waena.
"The point is that all of us, on behalf of the Papuan people, on behalf of Ondofolo in every village, fully support the KPK's actions to eradicate corruptors in the land of Papua. We are waiting for the Jakarta people (KPK) to come, then I will open all of them," closed Richard Ohee.
