The Regent of Merauke, Romanus Mbaraka accompanied by his wife Imelda Carolina Mbaraka arrived at Mopah Merauke Airport after an official trip to South Korea in Seoul City to sign a collaboration with the President Director of PT. Bio Inti Agrindo (PT BIA) Hyun Chang Seop regarding the realization of investor responsibility towards the people around the company in Merauke.
During the investment period of this company engaged in the production of palm oil or CPO (Crude Palm Oil), there were community empowerment cooperation programs in several fields. Such as education, housing, infrastructure and health.
"The realization is already underway, both in the fields of education, health, housing, infrastructure," explained Romanus Mbaraka in the VIP Room of Mopah Airport, Monday (29/8/2022).
With this collaboration, the Merauke Regency Government through related technical institutions can coordinate in supporting the program, with financing carried out by PT BIA. According to Romanus, this collaboration will be reported in a hierarchical manner to the central government, both to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry.
The meeting with the President Director of PT BIA, there was a special discussion regarding the construction of the main axis road from PT BIA to Kampung Selir which will later be built by the well-known company. This helps facilitate the mobility of goods and people in the area.
It is said, the cooperation of the well-known company PT BIA with the Merauke Regency Government is very good. Likewise with other companies, also recognized quite well. Only for the latest collaboration, the signing was factually PT BIA.
For information, in 2020 there will be no PT BIA crude palm oil commodities exported abroad. In 2021 as many as 3 times export activities to India as much as 20,132,450 Kg. Meanwhile, for this year, until August 2022 there has been no shipment of CPO to the destination country.
