TNI personnel have again become victims of the KKB Violence or Armed Criminal Groups that are guerrillas in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua.
The dangerous group shot TNI soldier Prada Giyade Ramadhani Fattah from Infantry Battalion PR 328/DGH on Saturday (5/2).
The soldier who was at the Titigi Post was shot in the leg during the attack.
Kapendam XVII Cenderawasih Col. Infantry Aqsa Erlangga agreed to the attack on its members.
Dis said the incident occurred at around 08.30 WIT.
However, Col. Aqsa could not reveal the details of the chronology of the incident.
"After the shooting occurred, additional personnel from the Mamba Post were carried out as well as evacuating victims," said Aqsha in Jayapura.
Prada Giyade was then evacuated to Timika using the Indonesian Air Force's Caracal Helicopter.
Currently, said Col. Aqsa, the victim is being treated at the Timika Regional General Hospital (RUSD).
He added that the condition of his subordinates was conscious.
"Hopefully he will recover soon," he said.
KKB Papua has a long track record in various acts of violence in Intan Jaya Regency.
During 2121 alone, 34 cases were recorded involving shootings, gunfights, persecution and arson.
Meanwhile, to date 4 TNI personnel have been killed and 7 others injured in an effort to suppress this separatist group
