Prosper with Indonesia, Peace in Papua

Papua has become part of the Republic of Indonesia, not only that, Indonesia certainly has a role in protecting Papua from various provocations that seem to blind the Papuan people by the Government's efforts to develop Papua for the sake of increasing the welfare of the people of Earth of Cenderawasih.

Various efforts have been made by separatist groups with the aim of separating Papua from the Republic of Indonesia, this is certainly not a trivial problem and must be resolved. Because Papua is an inseparable part of the Republic of Indonesia.

Along with the existence of Papua in the lap of Mother Earth (NKRI), there has also been a movement calling itself the Free Papua Organization (OPM). The goal is to break away from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. These actions were carried out with various armed terrors against the government, both TNI/Polri and civilians.

The concept of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia has also firmly stated that it is an island country with a diversity of ethnicities and cultures that requires everyone to respect each other. So, be it the Malays, Javanese, Acehnese, Moluccans, Papuans and others, they are one Indonesian nation.

In fact, through various development efforts that are increasingly being carried out by the government, the members of the separatist group actually realize that what they have been fighting for so far is not right and has actually made Papua worse off.

The actions taken by the separatist groups so far have actually hampered development in Papua. So this is proof that Papua will be more prosperous if it remains under the auspices of the Republic of Indonesia.

Therefore, we must not easily get caught up in the provocative movements heralded by the OPM separatist group, we must also remain vigilant against interference from other countries through extraordinary propaganda actions.

In fact, the Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto revealed that Papua has always been a concern of President Jokowi. In addition, the subsidy for the area is greater than the award given by PT Freeport. From the economic sector, many think that Indonesia takes natural resources (SDA).

However, we also need to know that all freeport and gas's large income is approximately Rp. 20 trillion in royalty taxes. But the government has allocated a subsidiary development budget of nearly Rp 100 trillion.

One of the commitments of the Indonesian government in an effort to improve the welfare of Papua is the construction of the 2 x 10 MW Orya Genyem Hydroelectric Power Plant, 2 x 1 25 MW Prafi Mini Hydro Power Plant. The 70 kilovolt Genyem-Waena-Jayapura High Voltage Air Line with a length of 174.6 kilo meters circuit.

In addition, there is also a 70 kilovolt Holtekamp-Jayapura High Voltage Air Line (SUTT) along a 43.4 kilometer circuit, a 20 Megavolt Ampere Waena-Sentani Substation and a 20 Megavolt Ampere Jayapura Substation.

Let's take the example of Harapan Jaya Village, Raja Ampat Regency, which is one of 5 villages that have started to receive electricity from the PLN network. The four other villages are Fafanlap, Yellu, Gamta and Magey.

The people who live in Harapan Jaya Village have been waiting for the presence of PLN for 35 years and are believed to be able to improve their standard of living.

The head of Harapan Jaya Village, Ali Sapua, said that before the entry of PLN, the people of Harapan Jaya village used private generators to support their daily activities.

He said that with the inclusion of electricity services, the burden of public expenditure would be lighter. In addition, not all Harapan Jaya residents have generators.

This is certainly part of the Bright Papua Program, which is PLN's commitment to realizing equitable electricity to all corners of the country.

In addition to supplying electricity to villages, PLN is also preparing to build a large 2X10 MW PLTMG system in Raja Ampat Regency.

In just one sector, we all agree that the government does not stop and will not stop in improving the welfare of Papua, then can a separatist organization like OPM guarantee Papua to be able to supply electricity to remote areas in Papua?

How can a separatist organization fight for independence, while it does not provide welfare guarantees for the Papuan people. Just imagine if Papua is separated from Indonesia, then the price of fuel will return to normal.

Therefore, there is no reason for Papua to separate from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, because the Government's efforts to improve the welfare of the people of Papua and West Papua need not be doubted, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is Dead.
